Charter Mark
Charter Mark is a nationally recognised tool for continuous improvement in customer services.
Using Chrter Mark principles helps us determine what our customers want and how our services can be
delivered effectively. Successful Charter Mark assessment is recognition of excellence, demonstrating
that a high level of service can be expected.
In 2005 we received a Charter Mark award covering the whole of the Inspectorate and all of the services
that we provide. In the Charter Mark assessment report, the Assessor made a series of positive observations
about good practice ranging across all aspects of our work including the way we involve customers and ask them
for feedback, our use of practitioners as Associate Assessors, our District Inspector network, our extensive
website and our involvement in the "global education community".
