Dear Mr Corsar

FOLLOW-UP TO THE INSPECTION OF HILLPARK SECONDARY SCHOOL, GLASGOW CITY COUNCIL

The report on Hillpark Secondary School was published in January 1998. HM Inspectors visited the school in November 1999 to evaluate progress made in responding to the main points for action in the report.

The school has made good progress towards meeting almost all of the main points for action. As a consequence of the overall good progress which has been made, HM Inspectors will make no further visits in connection with the inspection report of January 1998. However, I will ask the school for a report on progress on main point for action 2, concerning religious observance, within three months.

I attach an evaluation and brief account of the response made by the school and the education authority to the main points for action in the report.

I am sending a copy of this letter to parents of children currently in the school and the other recipients of the inspection report.

Yours sincerely

Frank Crawford HM Chief Inspector of Schools Western Division
